Hi guys
I don't know the right people to speak to so I thought you guys could help,
The Rotary club of Hope Island had a fun raising day at Sanctuary Cove today, as they only had 7 weeks to prepare for the day, they asked a few local car clubs,
(classics, hot rods, and sports cars etc) to go and show off their stuff. They had the regular sausage sizzle, jumping castle, and a whole lot of other things going on, golf buggy racing etc. :D

They had some interesting cars there as well, a 1966 jaguar XJ 13 apparently built for Lemans that year and only one made, very nice.

Anyway got talking to the head honcho about all the good stuff Rotary does and he said they are going to do this ever year from now on. One thing led to another and I said maybe they should try and get some MX 5's there next year and he said they would love to, and WHO does he need to talk to, to arrange it! :D

So over to you guys,
If some one can provide the MX 5 clubs contact or anyone else that would be interested showing of there pride and joy next year please let me know. Its a great place to have a coffee and catch up with all the other enthusiast for a day.
Cheers

And here I was thinking 12A's and 13B's....

They should contact the MX5 Club of Queensland - www.miata.net.au - probably best to contact the president.

Sorry to be picky Old Dude, but the Ferrari is a 575 Superamerica, and the "XJ13" is a replica. There was only one XJ13 built by Jaguar, it was never raced, it's BRG, is still owned by Jaguar and is in the Jaguar museum in Coventry, UK. It was built with the aim of competing at LeMans but took too long to develop, was finished in 1966, tested in 1967 and smashed up in a big way. Then rebuilt by Jag and put into their museum. :)

Thanks NMX516, I thought the Ferrari was a 430 but I must have stuffed that up. :?
I got the info on the Jag from a card in the car and it did say that there was only one built and I assumed it was this one, I wasn't aware they made replicas of it  . It looked fantastic. All of the cars looked really good.
This was the first time they had done this at Sanctuary Cove, and they plan to do it every year so it should only get better :D .
Cheers

Yeah I wasn't trying to put you in your place Dale, just let you know what they are. Some of these replica owners like to talk their cars up a bit :D I thought you must have been talking to the owner and they told you a few things about it. I'm a bit of a Jag fan, and not much of a replica fan, so I needed to set the record straight :)

The Porsche looks "real"

Cheers,
Gerard

oh, the "Cobra" is a kit car/replica too

No problem Gerard, no offence taken. I like to look at beautiful cars, and to be honest I had never seen or heard of that Jag until I saw it that day and read the card.
They also had a restored Buick, and a few MG's, TC, MGB, and MGA as well , and the regular Mustangs, etc
Cheers
