Weekly or fortnightly get-together...?

After reading what the interstate 5'ers are doing and chatting to Fatty, why don't we organise a regular, weekly get-together somewhere? If once a week is too often, then how bout a fortnightly thing? It'll be just a casual catch-up for coffee 'n' lies, dinner 'n' drinks kinda thing.
We could meet at the same place every time, at a central location, or since numbers are divided fairly evenly between Southsiders and Northsiders, alternate weekly meetings between someplace north and south?
A few places that spring to mind;
Central:
- Park Rd, Milton
- Boundary Rd, West End
- Grey St, South Brisbane
South:
-Garden City, Mt Gravatt
-Logan Hyperdome
-Forest Lake
North:
-Newmarket Rd Shopping Centre
-Stafford City
What do yas think?

I like the idea but I would suggest keeping it central. Isn't Logan Hyperdome half way to the coast?

Kinda, but it's easy to get to.
I like the central idea too as it minimises confusion.

Lol Fatty wouldn't know as he never comes

. Thought I would give some advice as I am one of the regular weekly vic guys. The difficulty you have is finding somewhere open late for coffee or sometimes something to eat. We have found a really nice place with cheap food and plentiful parking right next to our tables and it is also central for most people. Trying to figure out somewhere else to go has always been difficult due to lack of parking and coffee. People are going to come and go with regularity but there will be a core bunch of people that will essentially keep it going from week to week. They are the friends that will keep this up and running. Good luck to you and I am sure you will have little difficulty as you QLD guys seem pretty close knit. Just a suggestion but how late is the coffee place at the Mt Cootha lookout open as that could be a reasonably central place

This could be just what I need to get off my ass and come meet a few of you guys! Anywhere central is the best idea imo - I used to organise a fair bit of stuff on ozmazdaclub.com a while back and we always got the best turnout by meeting at harrys dinner, west end etc.
May I suggest (although not 100% central) Racecourse Road, Ascot. Plenty of on street parking, well lit and there is a gelato place that would have coffee and its open til 10pm most nights. Oh its also owned and run by Tatiana Grigorieva (Olympic pole vaulter) which isn't too bad

It's the thought that counts isn't it Ben? He may not be there in flesh, but I'm sure he's there in spirit

Mt Cootha is a great place with the coffee shop open till past 10pm, but the only downside is parking. Although plentiful late at night, the cars are completely out of sight and earshot.
tuned_to_fly, I'll check out Harry's Diner this week. Whereabouts is it exactly?
Park Road is open it well past 11pm, and it's where we've been going to after our night-runs, so we might have our first meeting there. I'll start a new thread.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

We need a "Weekly QLD Meetup" thread. No new thread for each one. "This is the time and place every week. See you there."
Having a attended a Vic meet we can't really compete with the Garage Cafe. It is just a perfect place for this kind of meet and we don't have an equivalent in brissy.
Anyone know any funky cafe/restaurant in the Valley or City with a carpark?
The Indonesian food at Garage Cafe was something special... And very cheap. (Unlike Park Rd)
