Impromptu acts of dodginess - tentative Sunday session

Looks like I'm going to be needing a new rear end (well not me - Max does).

Looking at picking up parts this Saturday, and doing removal of existing rear end on Saturday morning (before lunch), with work to be completed on Sunday, with an early afternoon deadline (I'm off to see Jack Johnson on Sunday arvo).

This could be the last great blast of dodginess at its Fairfield location, so if you're keen to be part of it, to assist, to stand around talking $hit, drink beer, eat food etc, I'd like to see a show of hands.

There's a rainwater tank for washing of cars (but you have to use the bucket method cause I don't have a guerney). Bring your own Meguiars.

Tinker as you desire - sometimes I think there's more tools at my place than the local Mitre 10 (but often just not the one I need).....

If there's genuine interest, I'll crack out the BBQ for Sunday lunch, but otherwise these things always end up being an adventure in dodginess.

PM me if you need details, otherwise express yor interest here.

:D

I'll just use your toilet if the need arises, is that ok?

That's tinkle.

None of the cardigan wearers should be coming so I doubt uncontrolled tinkling will be an issue

I should have given you mine when we took the compressor over. I'll see if I can get it around there (or someone can come and pick it up).

Andrew. :)

:(

Consider me a cardigan wearer. I'm going to Leyburn for Lunch on Sunday, and I have a very neglected Hillman Imp to love tomorrow.

Have fun; and not too much swearing please.

No, just the one in Brisbane Sliq.
Sydney's Fairfield is dodgy enough without any of our help.

Well.... with the axle nuts finally removed this afternoon, it's all systems go for removing the axles, and reinstalling a diff tomorrow.

You'd be amazed at how much effort it took today to remove two damn nuts.

I thought Wayne was in Thailand and Julio was lost in "a field of dreams"

No Hillman imp under my place, but a car that runs again.

Thanks to those who came, helped, provided tools, parts, and/or phoned in their support.

Mine has a brand new 930cc in it with a rally/race cam, competition valves and twin Stommies. The engine has done about 400m; I need to fix the strommies so I can remedy that. 8)

Well done UA. How is the difference; if any? Sorry I couldn't make it mate.
