Brisbane Coffee and Lies
Saw the post for Hunter Chapter and thought what a great idea.
Who'd be up for something similar? - a quick drive to somewhere central and social for a well presented cup of your favourite brownian beverage, sweet things made of pastry and chocolate, a bit of a chinwag, and the opportunity to fill the street with cars worthy of attention.....
We could even bring along significant others and they can chat too - a social event rather than a car run.....
It doesn't even have to be a Friday night - why not something mid week?

I'm trying to think of a suitable venue/s - and no Wayne - not the Gold Coast - it's just too far for a quick informal gathering for pps from the northside of Brisbane, unless it's a Friday or Saturday.
Somewhere in between Brisbane & Gold Coast would be good to get ALL together, or at the least at the nothinrn most end of the Coast - lets face it - the M1 isn't an inspiring stretch of road.....
Additionally, we'd want somewhere nice and Central in Brisbane for just the Brissie folk for when the Coasties can't make it...... Informality and a boulevard atmosphere to park cars on and crowd watch is what I'm thinking - definitely somewhere a little more cosmopolitan than say - Loganholme.
Your suggestions are welcomed.

will have a think on it UA, kim & i know quite a few places from delivering grog, trouble is, parking is at a premium in most spots around the city...........Vroom in James st in the valley would be ok.......Cru bar is there as well..........maybe on the southbank side around Little Stanley St, there's a couple of places in there as well.........
BTW, w/ends work better for us

Sanctuary Cove,
Yatala Pies
Depending on how many Brissie & Gold Coast people get involved it could switch between GC & Brissy.
sanctury cove is quite some nights of the week plenty of parking
I don't care really I have to drive all the way to brisbane to get my car then drive where ever so I aint fussed.
just needs to be lots of parking!
and alot of the 'cosmopolitian' places in bris don't have much in that dept.
gold coast there are a few at places out in the burbs! we can all just park at waynes place and he can ferry us where ever in his urban attack vehicle
saturday nights are my only real free night these days and with the new addition to our family places that are pet friendly are all the more sought after!
