Litsa and I are confirming today with Jim about attending this run. It sounds great, and the food by all accounts is superb.

Lavender Farm (Boonah)

9:00 meet for 9:30 departure
Meet Elsie Lavender Park, Mudgeeraba (exit 79, western roundabout, 40 yards)

Scenic country roads, fine wines and fine food, what more could you want? The drive out from the Gold Coast takes us through Canungra on to morning tea in the park at Beadesert. After morning tea we head out to Boonah where we will have lunch at Kooroomba lavender farm, winery and restaurant. The food is upmarket, but worth the cost. Expect to pay around $30 per main course. Of course you have the chance to sample their wines and pick the perfect drop to have with lunch. On the way home, we will stop at Canungra for a sweets and a coffee!
The restaurant is popular, so bookings are essential. You will need to RSVP to get a seat!

Brisbane folks, you can meet us at Beadesert at morning tea.

RSVP:- By 18th July

You can order an entree if you want JBT. Come on, you can screw the owner of the MX5 you want to buy out of $60 and make it up that way ! Or better still screw the buyer of your Red beast out of $60 as well and pay for Litsa and I ! I should go into marketing I tells ya !

OH and AJ !!! you can be in front on this trip if you like

A quick Google search revealled:

"The park is named in the memory of Elsie Laver, the daughter of one of Mudgeeraba’s pioneer families. Each year the Mudgeeraba Show awards a trophy for Cooking in recognition of her many years of charity work for the community."

That's Elsie 3rd from right in the "Smurf" hat. Circa 1919.

Fascinating stuff this.
