Magpie wrote:And why did the people win the awards
Prize for most dodgy person went to Forshaw, for attempting to turn an MX-5 into a Reliant Robin (google it), ie. not doing up wheel nuts on one corner.
Prize for least dodgy actually went to Stingray, but he was absent at the time ... perhaps supervising other people elsewhere
Stingray managed to fix an air-filter pod mounting issue in 10 minutes with minimal tools, but, in the true spirit of Dodgy Day, somehow lured Magpie to spend almost 4 hours (not joking) with Sabretooth helping in the last 1.5hours installing aftermarket gauges whilst he "supervised" the work.
Hang on... did I give the right prize to the right person?
Many thanks to Magpie for getting things cleared & prepared, and hosting the event.
I am already looking forward to the next time.
Just a quick piccie before I upload the rest.
Thank you all for coming! let's tee this up for a quarterly event, or at least thrice-yearly.
A special THANK YOU to phoe for making up and donating the dodgy prizes.

Thank you all for the day. Promise next time I will turn up with the ute, which will require no fixing and will be full of tools to help.
Was nice being able to put some names to faces.
Big thanks to Sarbetooth and Magpie for you help, really appreciate it.

Re: Dodgy Day 16/3/2013
Thanks for the day guys - had fun. Thanks to Magpie for the venue and questionable choice and location of wire to tap power from. Also a big thanks to everyone who helped polish the car - I can't get over how shiny it is now. I'm definitely buying a sander - provided I can find one of the damned things. I never got my central locking fixed properly as it's going to require a bit of detective work to figure out what's wrong.
Looking forward to the next one! (for which I'll make sure I eat beforehand!)

I could be wrong, but I think red is a common colour?

Hi Guys,
I just sorted out my tools that I used on the day and I appear to be up a 12mm spanner. It is a 'supercraft brand'. Is this something that anyone was missing?

Looks like a fantastic day.
