Hopefully I'll be ready for the next group run.

Words of wisdom there!

What I tend to do if I'm worried about brake fade is do it backwards (i.e. start from Ferny Grove up Mt Glorious and come back down via Mt Nebo Rd).

Brake fade? I think I'm past the point of that  :frown: I really shouldn't be driving her ATM, but shes my only car and I can't steal the car with a baby-seat from the Missus

I haven't actually done the Pei Rd route before! Last group run I turned back at Jolly's Lookout, due to work in the morning. Last Sunday I cruised straight through the mountains to Wivenhoe. Once I get the NA8 brakes in, however, it will be a priority!

I did manage to get a few nice shots with my phone though, next time I'll remember to take my DSLR!

I might be tempted to come out this Friday night 23rd. Nov.
Just did a bit of tweaking to Nero (my black Pulsar) and itchin to see if all the effort was worth it.

I went up friday just gone and there were heaps of leaves on the road.. I'd say it be a lot worse now after all the storms just gone...

Whats the view like? I've been told (by stalking other forums) that it would be a good setting for a sunset shoot?

What time would you guys be leaving? I should have the new brakes on tomorrow!
However I'm gonna be busy til about 8pm :/
If that's too late, I'll probably be going up next week sometime :)

Doubt there'll bee a photo op from the carpark at Jolly's, just too many trees.
Mt Gravatt Lookout would be good at dusk.
8 might too late, I was planning on same time as usual or evel a bit earlier, but if there's more interest .....

That's cool. I've managed to move things around a bit so us photo-goers might be able to actually go on the photo-run on Friday night - more than welcome to join us in the Pulsar, but the driving won't be as fun as the mount. :D

kinda in a good mood so might want to go a little further, but not all the way down to Cedar Creek.
Whatsay ye to going to that cafe on Mt Glorious? The one that's a few minutes after we pass the Samford turn-off.
Non-stop this time, ie no piss-farting around at Jolly's.

Meet at Mt cootha Botanic Gardens at 1915hrs for 1930hrs depart

Thanks for coming out fellas. Good run, besides the local yokel in the green Camry.
I guess if you live up in seclusion your only form of entertainment is to piss off people passing by.
