Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
I just had a very nice top down drive home from work. No rain in sight I will hopefully be there by 7:30.

I was there at 7:20 and parked behind a red NA right under the tower. Was I too late?

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Another great night, and better to meet new faces
Next run will be the last for the year so how bout we go a little longer, like we have a couple of times past that coffee shop but before the big downhill section of Mt Glorious?
I'm thinking of two groups: one starting from Mt Cootha, the other starting from Samford.
Anyone have suggestions?

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Interesting. Congrats on the ute rwf! It's going to be sad to see the NC go I think. You need another daily-driven NA ;)
240GL, just a heads up, we usually meet in a carpark at the bottom of Mt Cootha (opposite the planetarium) and then go for a drive up Mt Nebo before heading to Park Rd. If no specific meeting point is mentioned, that's where we'll be! Sorry that you missed out on the run last Friday
1red5, a longer run sounds good, but we'd better warn people that the section after Jolly's Lookout is pretty brutal. Those who are not confidant on the Mountain should take it slow!

To be forewarned is to be forearmed
I'll be coming from Samford just for something different.

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Next Friday, 3rd December it is guys and gals.
We'll all meet at the usual place and time, then go off in two groups.
First group will be the ones going up Mt Nebo from The Gap, second group heads toward Samford then up Mt Glorious.
Sound good?

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Sounds good to me, I plan to be there.
I've been wondering about the possibility of moving the meet point to over the road at the Botanic gardens carpark... there's lights there and potential photo opportunities, to show that we do actually, y'know, meet!

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
There's a reason why we started meeting there.
But this time, you have a good idea, we might meet at the Observatory and take some happy snaps before we head off.
So, pending the damn weather:
Meeting place shall be at the Observatory car park opposite where we usually meet.
Those who have never come to the run, please feel free to PM me to confirm place and time.
