[I've had a quick search of the site and can't find any other topics on this (...but I'm sure someone would correct me if I was wrong), so here goes]
Are any other club members planning to attend this year's Speed-On-Tweed (SOT) event? Sorry for the short notice but I was under the impression SOT had been cancelled indefinitely. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else fancies a blat up and over the mountains starting around 10:00 and ending in Murwillumbah on Sunday 12/09/2010? If there's enough interest I'll arrange a start point & 'guided tour'. Up to youse. Here's the reference site:

Re: Speed On Tweed - 2010
I'm new to the forum, but I will be there. Not going in my mx-5, going in a Volvo 850R. Yet to attend a cruise, see a few cars and have a chat with a few enthusiasts. Oh how many questions I do have

(Hey who updated the forum???)
Well as at Late Thursday arvo there's been no responses so it looks like it will just be me and the BOV. I'll keep an eye out, but it looks like there's a few competing events on that day. I also note the SOT didn't get a mention in the local rag - That has to be a big oversight by someone!

Just click on the reference site link. In summary it's an historic racing car event around the Tweed township. Note that it's not a circuit per se, more like a timed trial event. One of the great features of the event is you can get really close to the cars in the pits and there are a lot of good low-speed corner vantage points that makes it popular with amateur photographers. It's also a bit of a picnic day for car enthusiasts.

Oh.... I forgot to mention that Arthur Laurenson will be there in his White 1992 NA - I believe this is the first MX5 permitted to enter this event (...but I could be wrong on that).

Some nice looking cars
Would have been a buzz to walk around and check them out.
So many events, so little advertisement!
