Hi guys Im new to the forum, my name is Thompson and this is a small introduction and my build(kind of) that I am currently doing. Im still new to this and I am going to take my time and do everything the proper way! So...here we go!
I recently purchased this 97' na8

Sorry guys only iphones pic for now till I or if I get a proper camera
It was stripped apart by the previous owner to do a turbo build but he never ended up finishing it off
Bottom end specs:
- wiseco 84mm turbo forged pistons
- manley rods
- acl bearings
- arp main studs
The head is in an unknown condition. I need to replace 2 valves and springs as they were missing before I can send it off to be reconditioned
Thats pretty much it, the rest is all stock

So I've already done a bit of work before i started this thread so i will seperate each day to new posts and go off each point i wrote in a notebook.
So I've been sorting out all the things that came with the car.

I've also started to stripped away parts the are not needed and can easily be damaged while working on the car eg interior bits and pieces and the front guards.
Image
Found ultra racing braces under the guards!
Can't really do much at this stage as my bother has the engine crane and i have to get it from his house

The rear window on the soft top is hammared and the car was towed to my house on the rainyest day so i decided to remove the soft top and all the carpets to check for any rust.
Image
I've done this before but i forgot that the top is removed first then the rain gutter. Ended up cracking the gutter a bit. Oh well time to get one of those flexible rubber ones to replace it with.
Image
Luckily there was no rust on the parcel shelf unlike my NA6...
Image
Anyways... I have started to label the wiring harness which wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.
Image
Luckily the old beast runs similar wiring!
Image
I was able to look off the old car and sort of worked out what the wires did on the new one!

Hey guys, im looking for 2 valve assemblies and a few other parts such as stock exhaust manifold. Where would be the best place to get these items?
Im planning to run a stock head for now as im still on my P's. A 99 head and a turbo would be added once i get off my P's!
I'm in Melbourne by the way
