The nb8b driving feel just falls short of what i feel when in an na6.

Could anyone who has shared this thought input any suggestions with this process?

the following is planned.

- A/C DELETE

- POWER STEERING DELETE

The NA had less chassis support at the underbody, you could take them out from the NB, so you could have that roll-a-coaster feeling again.

I've removed both P/S and aircon. P/S because I always felt it was too light and aircon as I felt it was useless and the car was way underpowered with the a/c running. My logic was that if it was too hot, I'd just drive another car.

P/S removal - just removed the pump and lines, keep turning the steering back and forth to get the fluid out, and siliconed up the openings or you can have plugs made.

Here's a thought - buy a na6?

should also remove your 6 speed in favour of the superior na6 5 speed. oh, and the brakes too!

Here's my legit answer to your troll question.
Don't delete things, you'll ruin resale and it'll be foggy without ac in the rain.

Instead buy some bracing rollbar/doorbars/frog arms etc and coilovers. This will stiffen up the car dramatically and hold it to the road in a more raw sense.
Nothing to do with NA, but braided brake lines and a bmc brace help hugely in brake feel aswell.

I would disagree. Take off all body braces, and anything that adds weight. Like the airbags, heavy Oem seats, spare tyre, etc. The chassis is much stiffer than the NA already. Basically the feeling you are after is the lightness that an NA has. Change the wheels to lightweight 15's too.

Seriously though, have done these to my NB to enjoy driving it more:
- Lightened flywheel
- Full exhaust - extractors, cat, resonator, muffler

Feels more responsive and revvy.

Looking to "upgrade" to lighter 15" wheels soon.

im using 16" WORK wheels.

Unfortunately your trolling reputation precede you, so it's hard to tell whether you are serious or not. Tbh, most of the time it's the latter.

No. I think the Flyin' Miata guide recommends looping the lines etc but that's just to have the p/s fluid flowing so you don't have the resistance of the fluid. Of course, removing the p/s fluid is an easier way to solve problem.

I suspect however, that done the "proper way" it might be "better" but even with 225 tyres it's still easy enough for a scrawny guy like me to park the car. Plus, I just love the way it feels on the track.

As for the a/c - I have Project G vents and recently bought an air scoop from Regie. Like I said, if it's too hot to drive with the top up...I'll just use another car. Not difficult to figure with half decent weather forecasting!
