Maddy's Mx-5

Postby maddyyyd » Thu Feb 20, 2014 2:26 pm

Hi all,

Ive been lurking around this for a while and finally thought Id share my mx5 journey.

First time forum user so dont judge

This is my baby, a red 1990 NA6, which I bought as a first car. She's had her share of problems but overall is a great car :)

Hi Maddy,

Welcome to the forum!

Just a quick question re: your car.

How much was your respray and where did you get it done?

Do you have any more pics of the body work from the side/angle?

Thanks!

The respray was done by my dad's smash repairs shop on the Northern beaches, so it didn't cost me a dime haha just lots of helping out :)

I have a few photos of it after being painted but not many others.

Welcome to the obsession ..

Car look fantastic.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Quick update :)

Yesterday with the help of a friend we installed an mx5mania iPhone Dock ashtray replacement. Definitely a worth while investment.

Also had central locking installed and after almost the whole summer without a working passengers window due to a broken regulator it was finally fixed.

:)

Bad news is that im having troubles starting her up which is fuel related so hopefully will be able to get the fuel pump replaced soon.

Great news!

Now you need to drop it at least 2 inches to make those wheels and skits 'pop'! (based on your previous pics)

This weekend I finally got a chance to get my wheels put on :) so exciting :D
Still need wheels caps, put my Project-G side skirts on and lower it a bit more but overall I'm pretty happy.

Also got a chance to recently to put a new fuel filter which definitely needed to be done and change my oil.

I will post some more photos soon :)

Looks great Maddy. RPF1's on an NA = perfection! Where did you source the wheels from?
