Thanks to the many people who offered advice etc on this topic. I went to West End Mazda at Blacktown. The service department. They fixed the radio problem in less time than it took me to walk over the road to by some hot chips for lunch. The price was very reasonable. BUT, the most outstanding part was the first class service, the totally clean workshop and the personal interest they took in doing the job. Extremely professional people. So now I have the radio back and working. Just a tip for fellow club members, if you do a battery change, always patch in a spare battery to keep the parasitic drain available or you might end up in the trouble I've just had and well fixed by West End Mazda Blacktown Service Centre.
