Dean,

Reading the full story, this is ABSOLUTELY nuts. The amount of work and time you have put into this beauty!

Did you manage to get the side mirrors & skirts?

By the way Dean, if your looking for side repeaters, Tien can probably hit you up with a set. I just bought a set from him, getting shipped across.

Thanks mate. Sorry my names Dennis ha ha!

yes it has been an journey, considering the circumstances but i hope to be on the road soon. its definitely a car i will be keeping for a very long time.

the mirror and side skirt i may be obtaining from a member here...

i have a side repeater already, the cord/wire has dropped back into the fender -_-

Thanks for taking the time to read my journal, appreciate it!

Much respect for taking the effort to save this car which would otherwise probably have just been parted out and scrapped. I hope the re-registration process goes smoothly for you.

Awesome Den,
Really enjoyed the read, can I clarify, to fix that major damage you paid roughly 1500 in parts and 2500 in labour?
Looking forward to seeing much more !

Thanks Kris!

Haha probably should increase parts to just over 2000. Throw in a side skirt, LH mirror, new front windscreen. I needed new hinges also. There pretty much parts are bare essentials.

I have a set a tyres to cough up too. Sigh lols

Interesting random fact... did you know the bottom hinge is way heaps more expensive than the top one? Dont know why =\

But besides that... it will be an interesting journey..its getting to the point where i just wanna drive it!

D
... im tired of doing laps on my 2500 square metre block.. furthest ive gone is in 2nd gear

Hahaha.. the property is big enough to do a U turns. 2nd gear, 3500rpm. Brake to get all the rust off the disc rotors :P

Backyard is where the drifting on the grass happens :)

Waiting for a quote for a new windscreen.
