Hey guys, I have had my MX5 since August last year and have just started spending some dough on it! Picture do much better explaining than I can with my words. I enjoy forums so and was heavily involved with my last car. Here for a good time and a long time! Here is so info on me and my cars!
Studying Motorsport engineering at Uni this is our car with me at the wheel!
THE MX! The day I bought it!
NOW!
Car had pretty tired suspension so I replaced it with Yellowspeed coilovers 8kg Front an 6kg Rear. Pretty impressed so far.
Also put in a Brown Davis Bar as well. Havent felt a difference but looks the part!
Also put in a small aerial (got rid of that annoying noise!) and replaced interior and exterior bulbs.
Apart from that have replaced the fluids and the timing belt, gear rubbers seems to go really well for its kilometres and age.
Have some lightweight racing wheels that I might put up for sale but will hold off yet. (Not pictured) Team Dynamic Wheels.

Was a good car, I do miss it. MX5 on tired suspension wasn't as much fun as it is now.
I would like to reduce the Exhaust tip for something smaller. Other than that I just enjoy driving the thing! I am keen to advance the timing and hopefully squeeze a few ponies out of it!
Club holds about 50 events a year, about a dozen motorsport events etc.
Come along, especially to the next track day and say hi!

Nice! They don't race anymore or haven't for a little while.
Nah ECU-Racing. We are fairly new team started in '08 managed to score 2nd place last year.
Going to try a Foamectomy on my NB today! Being over 6 foot has it's downsides!

Ok, next years car has to be a Marlboro Mclaren!
You back again next year?
We (Sydney) wouldve finished third behind you guys if it wasnt for some stupid miscalculation in the fuel economy score from the scrutineers!

Ahh I saw your car at ECU Mt Lawley on Sunday. I'm studying Motorsports as well.
Are you working on the car this year as well?

Been so much fun driving and modifying this car. So many people are interested and even had a couple of people chat to me at the lights. Something I didn't think would happen from a fairly standard and normal looking MX5. Can't imagine the attention some of the serious cars get!
I think down the track I wouldn't mind Building a megasquirt and rebuilding an engine for it. Possible ITB, just so much fun but needs a bit more power!
Here are some more piccies!

I approve! Clean looking ride, well done.
I'm now considering the fixed antenna mod, it looks better than I thought it would - I've been keeping the radio off due to the power '70's antenna!
This is the one I used. I have just joined them a bit of electrical tape. Works well, just as good as the 90's one. I like the look and at that price I love it even more!
