My 94' na8

Hey guys, I've owned this mx5 for a couple months so I thought i should start a thread on it. I bought this car back in June this year after selling my n/a s13. I wanted a change and something that was relatively cheap and handled well. I ultimately wanted something for track days and hill climbs yet still daily drivable. This naturally brought me to mx5's. I've always loved the styling of na models and so I started searching. It wasn't long before i stumbled across something that I was interested in. It was a 94' na8 Australian delivered model with 163,xxx km's and extremely clean (unlike my s13). The car was completely stock except for the bc br coilovers and a hardtop which was a major selling point for me. This is how it looked when i bought it.

Since then I have done the following modifications:
* Whiteline front and rear adjustable swaybars (22mm front, 16mm rear)
* 15x8+25 stance mindset wheels with 195/50/15 federal 595 rsr's
Since doing these upgrades and having done a proper front and rear wheel alignment the car handles absolutely amazing!

note: I'm new to this forum so any help as to how to include a photo into a post and not just as an attachment would be greatly appreciated. Ben

Hi Ben,

That's a very clean looking car you have there! Where are you located?

With regards to posting photos, I use photobucket and copy the links it provides.

As can be seen in the engine bay shot my radiator is distinctly brown. I plan on entering the last sprint challenge at lakeside on the 26th November. I was just wondering if you guys reckon it will hold out for one event?

Bought myself a 42mm ASI aluminium radiator today. Anyone had experience with these?

Lots of us are using the ASI rads, myself included. It might need some massaging to mount properly, but overall they're pretty good and you can't argue with the price. You may also need to buy some different bolts to mount your fans, but that will only cost you a couple of bucks.

Nb head isn't worth it. Big cams and itbs is going to need headwork anyway and they don't flow that different post headwork.

Where are you located?

Black NAs really don't take much to look hot. Just adding those rims already made it look totally sexy. Nice work
