Michael's '93 NA Limited Edition

Hey guys,
I'm new to the MX5 scene, and in fact to Brisbane. I just moved here from Hobart to start work as a solicitor in the CBD, and I've only ever owned Toyotas (AW11 MR2, SW20 MR2, TT Soarer, and KE55 coupe respectively), so this is a big jump in many ways.
I've always had a soft spot for the NA, and when I came across Grant's (username mxfive) neat 93 NA for sale I couldn't resist checking it out. One drive and I was sold. For those of you on here who aren't familiar with the car, it's a 1993 limited edition, red with hardtop, tan leather interior, original Nardi Torino wheel, BBS rims, and a few other extras over and above the base NA offered here in '93. Grant had kept it fairly original, but had fitted a 7" DVD/nav/IPod/usb touchscreen and some Boston Acoustic coaxials (what AWESOME speakers by the way), custom rollbar with modplate and cert, and the car has been maintained by MX5Plus at Aspley.
Normally at this early stage of ownership I'd be going nuts modding the life out of it, as I have done with my past 4 cars (my black MR2 for example I imported in 2006 at the conclusion of the 15-year-rule, stock as a rock, ended up with 200rwkw and entered in every show and shine event possible - MISTA2 plates). I am however very content with the way the MX5 is now, and I can appreciate its rarity and heritage.
The only mods I'd be looking at in the near future are some Rota grids, coilovers, front lip, aftermarket towhooks, and offset number plate bracket (already purchased). Keep it simple, stanced, clean.
It was neat when I picked it up, reflective of the amount of effort Grant had put into it, but being the fastidious owner I am, it has been undergoing some serious TLC. The biggest item on my agenda is bringing the almost-20-year-old paint up to its former glory. I did a bit of detailing when I was at Uni as several mates are spraypainters / panelbeaters / detailers, so this weekend I'll grab myself a buffer, cutting compound, and polish
Looking forward to getting involved in some cruises / twisties and trackdays!
