Remote boot release for Na

Postby Gladiator » Tue May 08, 2012 6:42 pm

Has any one ever fitted a remote boot release to a NA, or is this even possible? It's the only thing I don't like about my car.

Too pedantic? Maybe.....

My '93 NA-6 has one as standard. It shouldn't be too hard to find one and retrofit it to your car.

Remote boot release for Na

Yeah a late model na6 or all na8 should have them. Lever sits next to the fuel lid lever.

Otherwise jaycar I think would sell one, had one in my old na6. Electric switch wired to an actuator in the boot.

Issue is that they "could" get access to your boot through the release.

I had the remote boot release added as part of the alarm system as an alternative. It's trigger via a third button on the remote.

I recently did this to my NA6, it was really easy.
I didn't want to retro fit the lever because it means the boot is always accessible if someone ever broke in.
