So I've finally sorted my exhaust - got exactly what I wanted without any fuss.
I've got a nice deep tone, and it sounds great when rev matching to downshift.

All that was changed was the resonator and muffler - I've left the cat for now as the stock MX5 one is pretty good anyway...though after my missfiring issue (water in the plug wells) it's probably rooted...
It was supplied and fitted by my local exhaust expert- he tried a few different combinations for me but this one suited.
Anybody after info just PM me - he's promised to look after any referrals the same way he's looked after me.
New, cheap exhaust...Sounds great!
