Shambler's 2004 SE

Hi everyone!

I have just recently upgraded from my NB8A to a fairly low km 2004 Velocity Red SE!

Thanks very much to Hjt for coming out on extremely short notice and checking the car over with me, it certainly made me feel a lot more confident in the purchase after checking a lot of the things I probably would have missed!

The car is pretty much stock, the only exceptions being a dealer installed Cruise Control, a luggage carry rack and a grill protecting the intercooler. The car has clearly been looked after very carefully, as there is only very minor marks to the paintwork on one or two panels. I'm absolutely loving the colour after driving the Silver NB8A for the last two years (silver was never my first choice!).

In the next week or so I'll be getting a new exhaust system installed, + a larger intercooler. I've been warned to listen to a car with a bigger intake installed to decide whether I like/can handle the extra noise, so I'm not doing that at this stage.

For anyone interested, here is a picture I took after registering it:

Now I'm stuck with this problem though! (I can't really complain though! :D:D)

That's the best kind of problem. I agree that Velocity Red is a great colour too.

:P

Silver car has to go soon though, I certainly don't have the kind of money to support two cars! Just putting back the stock parts into it, then it's going up for sale :(

Hey Sam, if your free i wouldn't mind measuring up my new mountain bike to your rack, I'm thinking of creating a rollbar > boot rack mount to transport my bike! Thanks

Sounds good! How big is the bike? Would you detach one of the wheels? I'll probably take it off in the next two weeks or so and save it for trips, I keep thinking there's cars right behind me when I'm merging! A rollbar mount could work I think, trouble is it requires the roof down I guess, not so good in recent weather. Let me know when you're available and I'll try work something, could be around during the day tomorrow?

Sam

Yep!
Right from the outset I'm going to try do this one better though. I wasn't too happy with some things on the old one, and there's actually a few new options I didn't have last time! I'll just see how I go with it, could be a few weeks before its in

Oh, and I'll be making it RED!

All good! Another time

I've been meaning to put up more pictures however with the rain and my old car in the way I haven't been able to, however I have this one taken last week that I forgot I had.

Hjt in the meantime this picture might help get a rough sizing?
