Mind the generic photo.
Before ordering this exhaust i had never used any parts from Megan Racing. I had read a few positive reviews on their exhausts, mainly stating that they are not as loud and offensive as the Borla and Magnaflow gear.
After a very negative, drawn out month trying to get my exhaust delivered from GoMiata I bit the bullet and ordered one from eBay.
I bought it from an American seller "cozy_styles" as Max was very quick to respond to my questions and stated that i could definitely get it before Xmas. (Something GoMiata couldnt promise, even with 2 months to play with).
I paid for it on a Wednesday, I had tracking details on Thursday and received it on the following Tuesday. WOW!
It came well boxed in branded packaging. The high polish and quality welding is impressive, and the feint Megan Racing logo on the 3.5" tip (looks much better than the 4" tips IMHO)
The muffler was installed that Tuesday night. I didn't use the mid pipe as it is for the turbo models, about 3-4 inches too short for naturally aspirated (not sure if cozy_styles sells the mufflers on their own), but the note was fantastic! It came with a baffle insert to quieten it down, however its low, unoffensive growl was perfect without the baffle.
I haven't had it on a dyno, or timed it for any HP increases, but you do get the noticeable improvement in throttle response that most exhaust reviewers state.
All in all, the Megan Racing exhaust was a very satisfying purchase, and Max at cozy_styles service is second to none.
A great outcome considering the painful time spent hounding other suppliers for exhaust parts.
