Ive been looking around the site for a while so its time I introduced my pride and joy :D

So before the Mazda came along, Ive owned a '97 Mitsubishi Lancer, a 1989 Volvo 740 and a 1985 Volvo 240. It seems i was going backwards for a while there, until i saw the light. I drove my uncles NB and fell in love with it. So i had to get one for myself.

So here she is:

I baught it with just 62,000km on it about 12 months ago. Since then, ive put 30k on the clock and loved every one of those kms.

Last weekend i put the style bars on, and a rear muffler. Other than that, she is standard. I dont plan to do anything else really to it.
I look forward in doing a track day or two though :D

Beautiful car in its colour and originality. I had a 740 and had a lot of trouble with its reliability. However it does feel safe and comfort. The 240 are much reliable car imo.

I can confirm you are on the right track :)

Well....
my brother drove it today so i could work on his car.
He was driving it home following a truck when a wooden pallet came off the back and into the front of the MX.
Damage to the front bar, n/s/f fender and door.
So she doesnt look as good as in those pictures anymore. Ill give her a good polish tomorrow and see what she looks like then :x

Noooooooo! So sorry to hear about the damage. Your 10AE is such a nice looking example of a great spec MX-5. Where are you? Maybe someone here can recommend a good repairer.

Volvos rock! We love our V50 T5.

Beautifully maintained, rare 10AE which looks a treat in these pics.

That's very bad luck with your car's mishap. Lots of material there to guilt your brother into doing stuff for you as a result of his accident, haha.

I hope you find that this is just a minor touchup job. Contact Steve at Juice (the car care stuff at MX5 Mania) since he has the industry contacts and is a generous MX5 person who will steer you toward good people in the trade. That's the impression I got on Saturday. Very helpful.

Hi Cam and welcome to the forum.

Sweet looking 10AE, hope you can get it back to it's original standard soon after the mishap.

It's handy to include a general location in your profile so area specific advice can be provided.

Ill go add it.
Im from out Penrith Way.
I get it back from the panel shop tomorrow. Im a mechanic so we use the company alot. they are pretty good.
They are doing what they can for me as cheaply as possible. Ill see what it looks like tomorrow...and ill decide whether it needs painting or not.
