Hey Everyone,

My Name is Craig and I Thought I would finally say Hi, and show everyone on here my MX-5....
I have been reading these forums since I got this car which was 3-4 Months ago now and some people may find it familiar too..
Its a 1990 Eunos Roadster NA6CE, that has been kept in good condition by the previous owner and is in current good hands...

This car has been a great learning curve for me, as I have been able to venture off into the DIY field and do the work my self on it. From installing a basic sound system, to central locking and an alarm and now to a 5 Point Carbing Cage and Locker....

As i pay the car off, I do intend to modify it, and the next step is to some nice fat wheels, especially looking at XXR 002 or even Some Equips or OG Axis rims....for mass dish....

More pictures to come, and again Hi everyone :D

Thanks guys, Currently hard at work trying to get the cage in. Should have some pictures of the cage in by the weekend...

Its a lot harder then I expected, Didn't realise that it required to grind a little around the tank and the rear shelf needs some cut out as well....

Tomorrow I need to make new brackets where the two arms of the Carbing 6 Point Cage, are attached by a plate with 3 bolts welding into it which will be tact'd / welded to the chassis.. Then the two front plates will be bolted through the floor onto another plate...

Sorry about the poor quality of my phone pictures but this is what has been done so far.... The cage will be satin black once finished.....

Well due to new hooning laws I putting most of the modding and upgrading on a hold...

To do list for using the MX5 for the driving test...(auto to manual)

-Acquire stock Eunos/Mazda Padded steering wheel.. (Got one let me know :D)
-Ensure Horn works like a baws
-Remove Cage
-Lift Car to 4x4 Spec
-Possibly get middle number plate bracket
-Put stock lights in my Headlights, Fog lights and Parkers...

Joys of modding your jap import right ?

Good news, i found a mate that has said that he will lend me his Ford Focus for the Automatic to Manual test, so everything on the MX5 Gets to remain how it is. Other then that not much has really happened of late besides returning my indicators/reflectors to the amber stock ones, putting the number plate back in the center. Cage was finally padded and also got a new gear knob from MX5Mania.

Pics will be up to follow soon, But the bad news is my clutch has finally began to slip all the time, when i first got the car it had some shutter when you would punch the accelerator (while moving) which points to the flywheel having some hot spots.

So shopping list stands at;
Exedy Sports Tuff Clutch Kit
Clutch Aligning Tool
Flywheel to be Machined
Rear main seal
New gear box oil (Also for the Diff, Most likely 90w75, From what I hear its the best way to go. Probably Penrite)

Also Picking up some stock NA6 Daisy Wheels and a Gizzmo Two Stage Shift Light (For the lols) on the weekend.

Pictures will hopefully up soon, Will upload some of the busted clutch and so forth.

Alright, reviving this bad boy.

This is how my mx currently sits, picture was taken at garage cafe at the Vicimports meet.

Since last time I have,
Put the HD clutch in, rear main seal, full service
stock airbox (plugged rear and cut open the front) with a k&n filter which i scored for 30 bucks! no more pod filter ftw!, feels alot better.
made all the faded black plastics black again!
Put on a Garden Edging front lip (best 2 bucks i ever spent!) and clear front indicators/parkers with clear globes.
Replaced power steering pump due to it leaking fluid everywhere.

Need to figure out what I am doing in the wheel department, i want new rims but im very very undecided on what i want.

Nice pic !

Should try opening up the right side of the airbox too so you get air from as far away from the exhaust as possible.

Indicator and lip look good !
