Jeremy's NA6

Postby JeremyH » Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:33 pm

Hi,

I just bought my first car this april, it's a Red MX5 1990.
I bought it from a dealer, paying 5750 for it.
It got aftermarket extractors and muffler when i bought them.
It has a quite clean bodywork, but sandy paint. (Wonder if clay bar can clean them)
It has around 240000km.

Here is the picture of the car:

He clearly needs to sell me his NSX, in regards to your pop-up headlights if u want to raise them up to make it flush it's only a simple bolt with a philips head thread on either side of the covers.

Or just raise the bonnet, and gently pull upwards on the top edge of each headlight cover. Works for me!

I have actually installed TEIN Super Street, will be posting the pics of the installment.
Also bought a cheap short shifter, also installed. It worked well.
Arrived, Enkei RPF1 14x7 Silver F1. But thinking of fitting it in next month.

The car looks tidy Jeremy. A decent going over with a clay bar and some good wax will do wonders for the paint. Works every time.

Keen to see it sitting with the Teins and the Enkeis! I love the RPF1's but I've never been sure whether I prefer the 14's or the 15's.

It's just that the 14" have the flat face i love, where 15" have sort of convex shape

Tein picture installation, my mechanic try 3 hours pulling out the front right suspension without using spring compressor.
I have told him that he won't make it without a spring compressor, but he say it's dangerous, but then we end up using spring compressor as well.
Coz my bushings are old and are hard to pull off. We end up have lots of cross threads and he try to fix them all. But it's all good.

I wonder why one of the shock adjustable click are stuck --" ?? anybody can solve this?

Yesterday's first and a light tune up:
Oil change and flush
Throttle Body cleaning
New Spark Plug

I change to a lighter oil, recognize that ticking noise gone and better performance.
