Hi All,
I bought my 2004 SE in June 2010 in Perth with 60,000km on the clock and completely stock. Since the moment i saw this car i fell in love with it, the moment i jumped in the front seat the meaning of driving changed for me completely. I suspect most people on here know what im talking about.

Anyway, due to work comitments i havent had the chance to mod it but mod it i shall. I would love to become a part of an enthusiastic MX5 community, tired of haters hatin' on my hairdressers car.

Welcome to the obsession

Looks a very nice example.

Although it looks like someone swapped the SE rims for NB8B rims

Welcome to the obsession.

You'll need to change the name of this thread though because it's too confusing - it looks nothing like MY 2004 SE:

ie. Give the thread a better name (ask Okibi nicely for this).

Lokiel, you post that pic everywhere! LOL. I've been on here for a week, and in at least 4 members rides threads i've seen your car.

Nice can mate. I wonder how it handles with smaller wheel. I'm assuming better than the 17" ones that come with the SE.

GUILTY - I haven't been able to take many other photos due to lack of time or crappy weather.

You callin' my car a "can"? Dem's fightin' words! :P

The car rides MUCH better on 15" rims and handles better too. You don't feel every bump in the road and the tyres actually flex when cornering - I don't think the 17's flex much at all. When you hit a pothole you don't have to worry that you've just bent your rim either. MINX's thread shows he lost around 2kg per corner going from 17s to 15s - losing unsprung weight is a good thing.

Please consider renaming your thread too - it makes it easier to keep track of just by looking at the subject heading if it contains the username or car's "name".
