Dweezle's Malibu Gold.

Well, i sold my old Silver NA6 to my lil brother.

I was looking for a White NA6.
Looked at a few, and was settling in for the long search to find one not at the end of its life.

Then, after looking through Carsales at least once an hour over a week, this Malibu Gold kept grabbing my attention. Spoke to the owner a few times, who did not speak much english and arranged to see it Friday night.

Made my way there after work.p
Well, by that, i mean, Jeanelle came and picked me up from Belrose at 430 to run me out to this guys place, and even though she is like on deaths door with some sort of HORROR FLU.
(Prob shouldn't have left her in the freezing cold, on her own, while i took the car for a test drive with the owner. :( :( )

Spoke to the owner, trying to undertsand each other was interesting. Trying to find out as much information as possible. Turned out to be a little difficult.
Went over the car as best as i could and took it for a test drive.

Was absolutely blown away by the tidyness and condition of every part of this car.
It just looked, felt and smelt almost brand new. Not at all nearly 20 years old.

It has complete Malibu stickers down both sides still  and interior is just immaculate!!
The more i looked all over the car, the more i fell for its charm.
That colour just suits the NA shape so well.

It has Bilsteins with King springs, and thats about the only modification.
Oh and some really awful, old SANSUI Cd player, which is enourmous and must GO!!

The car funnily enough has Air Conditioning, i assume MAZDA had this as an option when they where released.

I asked the guy if i can come back tomorrow and have a look in the light.
He had to leave for work at 9, so i was back at 730am, and had a 2nd going over.
(She even got up super early to take me back to see the car in the light, THE LIL TROOPER  )

Me, getting overly intoxicated by the YELLOW was driving away, rego papers signed over to me, by 830!

SMILE, A MILE WIDE!!!!

I havent had much of a chance to get right into and under the car and figure out everything yet.
But i got to go for a drive tonight with my lil bro and miss Jeanelle, and tomorrow i will give the car a bit of a service tomorrow, just so i know where its at.
Over the next week or 2 i will change all fluids, etc etc.
Start keeping a record of everthing.

Image

Will take some better pics, with a bit more detail on the car then.
Right now, i just love going out to the garage and looking at that FINE BODY

It has Clear taillights, which i want to change asap.
So if anyone wants to swap for there standard ones or buy, let me know.

Sad to say goodbye to my lil PATCHY BEAST, but glad her new owner loves her, and really glad to have such a exciting new ride.

Congrats Mark!

This Malibu looks familiar. Did it come with a hardtop?

Thanks guys.

ABSOLUTLY IN LOVE WITH THIS CAR :P

Shed a tear this morning walking down and seeing her in the garage..
(I feel psychological problems building haha)

Gave her a minor service this evening.
New plugs, Oil and oil filter, timing check etc.

The old plugs where a lil carboned up, which i put down to being putted around in.
New plugs made the car come even more to life.
Driving tonight was just AMAZING!!!

She just feels so damn tight and responsive.

Really can not wait to lose the ALTEZZA lights, just need to find some good condition Tail lights, but maybe not for a week or 2.

Also, Deen, I really like the wheels to, but want to get some rubber on MS03's.
Thereve been sitting here all ready for far to long.

Plus 16" wheels look just a little weird to me on a NA.
They have brand new rubber on them, I will prob put them up for sale in a day or 2.
If anyone is interested.

oh and, like anyone can catch GURAN.
The Psycho set a 1:15 today. I think his bones are made of carbon fibre

Jeo, Will definelty be seeing some track time, but trying to work out what to do , that in no way is unreversable.
Prob make it a stock or 2A car.

Wont be aiming to high with her though.
Dont want to damage the poor girl.
Just more of a get out there with everyone and enjoy the car, kinda thing.

Might help my brother build his NA6 into a more prepared 2A car.

Anyways, cant wait to drive to work tomorrow.
I get to see her Malibu grin in the morning

hope she isnt to cold down there.......
