Awesome project. Once this is complete, it'll be the 2nd rally car that I know of (and the first NB).

I reckon a 5 would be great to rally, but a bit too cosy for my liking.
Nice bracing up in the roof.

Yeah, but they get really shirty when you tell them that the only reason they are there is to balance up the car, i.e. dead weight. Can't figure that one out either? :D

Nice looking cage. Only question I have is why did you not have any Xs or gusseting in the intrusion bars?

I am ultimately aiming for stage rallying with my mx5 (doing sprints at the moment). Good to see I am not the only crazy person heading in that direction.

I reckon the mx5 will be a pretty awesome rally car - plus rwd options seem limited unless you have bags of cash.
Good luck Si.

Well I took the car to Rego yesterday and it PASSED
It then had to go for an ID check and I failed due to lack of paper work
and that the Build date and the Compliance date were 6 months apart

so back on thursday when the AFP are there as well

Had my Second rally in the 5 on saturday.
the car has been raised since last event ( we were a grader)
and it also had a new Exhaust and Computer. With the computer I also fitted anti lag
and Flat shift .
IT now bangs and pops through the forest

The first 2 stages we had an intercooler line fall off and lost 6ish mins.
after that we were putting in top 10 stage times YAY.
