indeed. there is small gap in the undertray between where the splitter ends and the chassi rails start. it then goes all the way back to the rear subframe brace. still deciding on the type of rear diffuser I want. in theory it should work quite well. reducing lift quite a bit. It would take quite a bit to make net downforce on a 5 but reduced lift is always a good thing. the splitter and cannards will be taken off when I can drive again as they look a little funny and the splitter is just too low.

I will be interested to hear how the undertray effects engine/drivetrain cooling.
Got any pics from underneath.
As for the rest of it, the car looks great, not to sure on the canards on the front though.

i don't think the cooling side will be an issue as air gets sucked out the back. air will flow from the front of the car through the holes in the lip. emilo from 949 has a sealed section to the rear bumper and got little to no increase in temp on the track. either way the only test needs be on the track. we will see how it goes.

Your car looks fast just standing still. Where did you get the wing?, i need more downforce too. Do u have a pic of the splitter/undertray?

no pics of the undertray. I will try to get some asap but cant really get it on jacks just yet. with an mx5 it would be very hard to get net downforce but all of this will help reduce lift. I would probably need to put venturi tunnels on it to have a chance of actual downforce.
