Cheers Lachlan!

It was a pretty big job...stopped counting the hours I spent on the job....it was well over 600 hours!

She was stripped back to a bare shell with no wiring and only essential fasteners. The rear loom in the bottom photo was also removed. The fuel tank was changed out for the 1996 one after the paint job.

So did your mechanical engineering background help any in the rebuild? Tre cool monsieur Danny.

Check out how flat the cornering and drifting attitude is ... superb.
The corner you drifted looks like the last turn at QR?
But what about the right-hander (back of car shot)? 2nd corner at QR? If you were hard at it, that is a 100km/h+, open-90deg radius, turn (in an MX-5) boys and girls :D

Ahh.. it's originally a red. That must be why it goes so fast. :)

Pretty sure that's turn 1 Andrew. Corner speed was between 135 and 140 kph.

Cheers,
Danny

And a bit of BRG (or whatever the metallic green from 2006 was called!)
