you gonna rev it to 9k and over?

Thanks again guys. Yes I can't wait to hear it on the main straight (wherever that may be). Yes it should rev close to 10,000rpm before losing too much power.

3 months and counting.....

Danny

Tuesday night was awesome. So good to hear it with a bit of load and revs. 8)

Here's a few piccies from the dyno night.

I also took the opportunity to start tinkering with a new tool for my engineering business.

Very cool!

Gonna release power figures or keeping that under wraps?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hi Dave, it went over 300rwhp on Pump 98, no timing and at less than 7,000rpm. The engine has only done 30km.

So there should be another 150rwhp when run-in on E85, additional timing and an extra 2,500rpm.

Cheers,
Danny

Mark, it definitely doesn't beat EGT probes...just a nice verification tool. 8)

Never measured....too focussed making sure nothing leaked during the first real load! :P

That tool Danny will help spot hot/cold points not to mention a good verification tool.

I assume that it was purchased for checking welds etc?

I'm sure you would have heard me from Ningi Roger if I made it to Anzac Ave! :P

Today, I got the car delivered to the workshop to have the moulds make for the carbon panels and parts.

There was a headstart on the OEM carbon doors as I dropped a couple of spare doors off a few weeks ago.

The plugs are almost finished. I'm hoping that the moulds will be finished in a week or so.

Given the doors will be basically standard and the mold, by definition, can be used multiple times, will you be offering carbon doors for sale to interested parties?

Yes. That was one of the key parts of the aero design...was that the doors and hardtop had to retain the OEM dimensions so that they could be added to the Automotive Plus product range. I already have one very interested party who's after a pair of doors and a hardtop. :D So that's a good start.

I'd love to see someone go for the full aero kit and bolt it to a street car!

Hmmmm, might have some issues fitting in a space at the local shopping centre car park though......

Yes it will end in tears but think of the replacement market :)
