Looking good Crap! Given me the inspiration I need to give Scar her first wash in two months :P I get a garage again in 3 weeks, so the detailing bug will be back!

On another note....way too much fisting happening in this thread....

After seeing your post here I decided to give it a go, seems pretty good. Smells like bubblegum.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Long time no update - I had a couple of niggles that needed fixing with the car, a small oil leak which didn't put spots on the driveway but still needed some attention, and the aircon had decided it didn't want to work any longer (just before winter, so wasn't an issue).

Thanks to Automotive Plus, the aircon is now fixed - no leaks, just a regas (yay!) and they found the oil leak for me. Was hoping for a two from two win with a main rear seal but unfortunately it was this:

That's the sump seal, but once I get her back she'll be as good as new again!

Moral of the story: This is the first time in may years of dealing with various mechanics over the years that I've actually received calls with updates, and even photos.

No, they're not paying me to say this - I'm paying them!

Well - the car is an absolute dream to drive now thanks to the Automotive Plus guys, so I decided to give it some audio/navigation.

Had a look at various units, didn't like the 4 figure price tags attached, so decided to go with an interim cheap solution in the meantime (like for two years or so interim!)

Jumped on eBay and stumbled across this which offers GPS, SD Card Audio (finally, an alternative to CDs or iPod), DLNA connectivity, Miracast, Bluetooth connectivity. I paired it with an internal antenna as I really dislike the standard power antenna.

Plus the start logo is now the Mazda logo, and the LED is changeable too, I have it set to red which shows up as almost the same red as the HVAC controls below at night.

Spent today installing it:

Turns out the internal antenna is pretty average (not surprised), so I've opted to go with streaming radio via bluetooth instead. WIll do via DLNA once I've had a better play around, but it beats having the antenna come up when I decide to do anything that is not radio related.

Unit is an Eonon M2A, cost me $354 delivered on eBay, from Hong Kong and it got here in three days, which I was pretty happy with.

That even looks pretty.

Will be interested to hear if you come up with a better alternative to an external aerial as I presently have an awful combo of a matte black whaletail with a chrome electric aerial.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)
