Big thanks to Bensale and CheyneX5 for helping me work out my idle problem. I'll have a stab at fixing it tomorrow and possibly dial my damper up a bit and see how the car goes. As for the misfiring, I'll take a look at the plugs while I've got the bonnet up and see what I can do. I might be able to polish them up a little if they're just tarnished then replace the leads next week.
So on the way home I figured I'd give the car a much needed bath. I think there was more dirt on it than paint... It's been ages since I've been able to wash the car so it was awesome to see the red gleam again. Well... Until the paint flaked off

Unfortunately there must have been moisture under the paint on the passenger side headlight cover because there was a slight bubble there. over time the bubble in the paint split and left a little nick in the light cover. I'd been meaning to call AAMI for ages to have them fix the job since it was defective.
Not sure if many of you know this but unlike some insurance providers who claim they are liable-less if the repairs do not meet the standard/quality of the original car before the incident, AAMI have a quality insurance policy. In other words, if at 'any point' the consumer is not happy with the quality of repairs, they are eligible to send it back to AAMI. In other words, if you're not happy with the job, send it back (at any point).
Unfortunately for me, I've been unable to find a slot in time where I have been able to send the car in for inspection. I need the car every week day to get to uni and every weekend for work. Dad uses his car for work as well so it makes it quite difficult to go without the car. Well, until now.
Since I quit my job I have a lot more free time so i'll give them a buzz tomorrow and see what I can do.

As you can see, if I don't get onto this soon.. I'm pretty sure the rest of the light covers paint will flake off...
I'm not really annoyed about it, it was really a matter of time. Still kinda blows though
