Fantastic work by you and the team as well - congratulations on reaching the milestone of 'start-up', I've watched this car for only 4 years but to see where it is at now - well, words can't describe!
Well done also on the magazine article!!

Thanks Roger!

You are absolutely right. A project like this is not possible without the help of many friends....lucky for me they share the same passion.

Re: NC Track Car - In the Build
So the lead up to the first starting of the 20B called for a temporary wiring loom to be made. The actual loom will be manufactured once the chassis returns from being painted.

It also saw the basic layout of the main electrical panel being completed.

Besides me there were a lot of happy people there to witness the first start-up.

Last night the clutch hydraulics were bled and I could resist testing out the clutch.
On Tuesday night the car will hit the dyno to get a run-in tune programmed on premixed Pump 98. Then before weeks end the car will be assembled to about its maximum weight so that measurements can be taken and work started on the suspension performance. This work will be undertaken by MR Tuning. From here the car will go to the mould makers so that the composite aero package can get underway.

...and a little bit of aural porn!
96 days and counting until WTAC 2014!!!
Cheers,
Danny

Geez it's come a long way in the past few months!
I'm sure Regie will notice how much since he saw it, I think that was September 2012!

Re: NC Track Car - In the Build
Thanks all!
It was quite a milestone when the engine fired up for the first time. Run-in dyno tune on Tuesday night
, then the focus will shift to the body and aero work. So it will probably be some weeks before I hear it again.
Cheers,
Danny

Are you going to test run at QR before World Time Attack?
So you have had the birth now time to make its christening dress and still no name
.
Congrats Danny, I share the feeling of hearing a well built engine for the first time.

That is the intention Mark. However, I might not get the chance until the Thursday practice day at WTAC 2014.

That's probably one of lowest priorities on my list. Maybe the forumites should come up with one?

Re: NC Track Car - In the Build
I think naming cars is pretty pointless. Inadvertently though my cars have been given names based on their colour. Therefore, your car should be called blueblackaluminumsilvergrey. [/namingdiscusion]
