OK So I got my car back, it was a long 9 days, 2 hours and 14 minutes but she's finally back home with a nice shiny new clutch. Specifically, an Xtreme Clutches button ceramic clutch. Hopefully it's good for a few more HP than the standard OEM. Feels good, definitely not any heavier, and it has a nice smooth, OEM like action.

As for the old one, well here's the diagnosis:

Wondering where all the actual clutch went?

Yep still lots to do before then. Got trackskool on Wednesday. I think I need new brake pads, I need to check. Also the alignment is not quite right, I think all the towing and hauling must have put it out, so I might swing past SW again. Took the week off work so I can get all this sorted

Brake pads will be a real dilema. Terminal speeds at the end of the straights will be something few NCs have achieved.

Went to school today- that's trackschool at Wakefield. Definitely learnt a lot, however the brakes faded at one point, sending me into the kitty litter at turn 10. Had a few offs, which also chipped one of my Advans :? But in general, these Falkans are really awesome. I never noticed any issues when cold, plenty of grip all the time. Instead of losing it at the fishhook, which I always used to with my regular  it just grips for dear life. And at all the other corners, a lot more confidence. In fact I'm nowhere near brave enough to reach their limits.

As for the engine, well it pulls like a train and sounds like a wall of sound.

My lap times were affected by having to pass traffic, not having a lap timer :!: , as well as various error-between-steering wheel-and pedals. Much to learn.

Nice stuff Tim. Do you have much whine from the SC? When I had my Cooper S, I found it was pretty quiet at first - fixed that with a foam filter CAI to replace the stock airbox. The SC whine after that was fantastic!

Bryan...I promise that you'll get the opportunity to find out what it sounds like early in the new year!

No there's very little SC whine. Not too keen to play with the intake as it's all set up in the kit with ECU mappings and sensors etc.

Did you get some brake pads?
I've got a set of new and a set of bedded EBC Yellows that I could probably get taken down to you.
Bedded ones should be OK after just a few laps to settle them to your discs.
New ones probably not a good idea because they'll need a real good bedding.

Very neatly presented car in the flesh... Looked quick down the main straight.
