I'm pretty sure you said you were getting started on the rebuild over a year ago when I came past. A long journey indeed, but congrats on finally putting it all back together!

Tidy up!
Again it’s been a very long time since updates so here goes another long post with heaps of pics. Who doesn’t like pics…
After the car was running for a while, it was time to sort out other parts of the car or just tidy things up.
Stainless braided lines from MiataRoadster and DBA T3 slotted front rotors with QFM A1RMs.

OEM orange reflectors sanded smooth and painted in Duplicolor MetalCast red, then clear coated.

Then removed most of the rest of the emissions stuff

Coz this guy went in

I also decided to swap the Earl's remote oil thermostat with a Mocal sandwich plate style unit to clean up the engine bay a little. Had to make some new lines too.

Cleaned up the ports inside the runners of the intake manifold as well as removing all the butterflies inside the plenum.

Installed the Superpro diff mount bushing poly void fillers

At the same time I pulled out my windows, got them all retinted by a mate and installed my MiataRoadster vented corner window which was also tinted. Cleaned and regreased all the window guides while I was at it.

Real Proper Results!
After I sorted these small things I booked her in for a tune at Hyperdrive in Malaga. I'll explain the boot later

And final result for the day
IMG_20160119_163649 by An Phan, on Flickr
She feels much nippier than before
After the tune I treated her to some new shoes. Rota Grid Concave 15x8 +20 in machined finish with polished lip. Also a set of 949 Racing gunmetal tyre valves

Next to my missus' wheels for her TT. 18x9 +32 XXRs.

Some test fit shots

I ended up ordering some Federal RS-RRs in 205/50/R15 to fit but had to wait for them. Got them mounted and went to install my coilovers at the same time. Coilovers are FM V-Maxx 'Classic'.

Here are the old and new setups. Old were NB 15s with 195/55/R15 Kumho KU31s

Had a bit of rubbing on the guards so had to roll them. Didn't have to roll them flat though.

Looks awesome.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
