We had a big day at https://www.facebook.com/connormotorsports on Sunday, both of us hungover from a work Christmas party and a night out in the cross haha. The roll cage, new clutch, slave cylinder and master cylinder all got fitted up, and then last night the fun continued as we re-wired the stereo again and added a 4ch amp from my previous car.

I finished the shift light install the other week, the yellow circle shows the adjuster for the shift light and the red circle is where the shift light sits behind the air vent. A nice and clean setup

And one more shot of the spoiler in the day so it can be seen properly.

Yesterday I got a set of Achilles 123 fitted and a wheel alignment done, the car is much better to drive after adjusting the toe, the steering is now lighter through car parks (I don't have powersteering because its for pussies :P). I havn't really had a chance to push the tyres as yet but so far I'm impressed with them.

And last night I done a photoshoot on my car and Luke's (CM Sport) mx5 against an old heritage listed milk shed. Those photos will be uploaded in a few days when I get the chance to go over them. Jump on my page to see some of the other stuff I have shot http://www.facebook.com/bcpphoto

Later on I went to the shops, come back to my car an hour later and look what has parked next to me. Completely standard in mint condition.

I really like your car. You took this photo in Chatswood?

Quick question for anybody who is reading. When I turn the key to start the car all accessories come on but the car doesn't crank over its stays as if you are still on accessories 2, however if you carefully let the key come back to the accessories 2 position by about 1mm the car will start. Is that an ignition switch problem or barrel problem. I'm thinking barrel.

Anyway here is a couple of pics from the weekend at the Garage 88 EOYM

Well things have gone a little bit down hill for the mx5. The crank needs to be sleeved so plans have been brought up ahead of schedule for the car. Instead of starting my turbo build next year around March-July its going to start in the next few weeks. As for this motor I'm thinking about ditching it and buying a 1.8L.

As for the conversion everything is pretty straight foward right? From what I have read so far a few sensors need to be brought over from the 1.6L and engine mounts need to be changed to the 1.8L correct? I'm going to be running a aftermarket ecu.

Where is the best place to get hold of a 1.8L?
