Come along on 15th to Lakeside.
Doesnt matter where you go, if you push too hard you can crash. You have to drive within your limits.
Much safer than hooning on public roads with every dopey and soccer Mom getting involved
And you can show up Toppertee by smashing his lap times!

Re: RON NB8A Turbo
Well there a 55% chance i will be in the 15 July track day we shall see. Wanna know how my time fairs compared to more exp drivers with similar power as me
To me track time right now don't mean much, having such a ball with this over steer entering/exiting corners
and catching it i couldn't care less what time i did it in. With this weight reduction and all makes it so much more fun, you can really tell the difference when you have a 70kg passenger

Re: RON NB8A Turbo
If you are going to run at Lakeside, it holds a couple of records,
Fastest avg speed of any track in OZ,
The track that has done the most damage $$$ to cars in OZ
and has killed more drivers than any track in Australia.
So if your going to have a go, just take it easy, turbo.

Re: RON NB8A Turbo
Just go to the friday night drift practice if you want to slide around. $90, they start at 5 i think, but you want to be there early as they fill up quickly as they are limited to 100 cars. There is one tomorrow night. They're run fairly well and everyone is super chilled. Chances of wrecking it is substantially less than going to lakeside.
Cheers,

Re: RON NB8A Turbo
Drifting Lakeside sounds pretty dumb. Sure the car moves around a bit and you can hang the tail out on eastern loop but I'd advise to not try that coming onto the main straight or anywhere near the bridge.

Re: RON NB8A Turbo
Yeah - definitely check out the drift practice.
If you like sliding and being smooth and fast, seriously, check out the dirt sprints ran by Ipswich West Morton Auto Club. It'll teach you bulk throttle and car control.

If anyone says your car is too nice to do it - I have seen a mint old 911 turbo out there, he said the car was meant for driving and that's what he would do with it. It's seriously awesome fun.
