Ok then, i will keep the 4.1 on to see what it's like. We can compare cars then!

The rt-615k's are r-spec so they would need to really heat up to grip well. Street sport tyres grip well when cold but lose it when hot. Maybe your tyres are harder to heat up as well because it's winter?

Besides that its normal, they are quieter on the limit, harsher ride and the rubber is softer which may be picking up all the stones.

Get more negative camber and it should not rub. Let Stu know its rubbing

Niel covered the wheels, I have had to drive on my r specs (kumho v70a) tyres for a few days whilst getting the alignment sorted. They spin easier then my starspecs when cold.
They operate in a different range.

As for the wheels, consider a roll, if done see Stu @ spinning and get a more aggressive alignment.

I'll be organising a time today, as I had another place align the car and its not to my standard and lacks camber where it previously had been possible.

I was kicking myself for getting the 4.1 then going supercharged as i thought it would be to short but i actually love it, it's so snappy and responsive, first and second gear is neck snapping. I would rather short gears opposed to long, feels more raw.

Thanks Dean, I agree. I need to look for a cost effective source of the 4.1.

Well quite an eventful week, firstly an aggressive alignment from Stu at Spinning Wheel. He removed a little caster which should fix the rubbing. Plenty of camber added! The car really drives like it longs for the track now! That's the best way I can describe it!

As for today, I planned to check out the route for the run tomorrow as it had been some time since I was down there and disnt want any mistakes as I was leading. I hadn't even hit the fun stuff yet as I just left Goulburn and was making sure the little connecting road between Windellama and Braidwood road was ok.

Then

Clutch gone just near Wakefield! I guess she really didn't want to leave the area! A rather expensive trip back to Sydney ensued, which is still in progress as I type...

ah bad luck- do you think the supercharger really needs the clutch upgrade then?! but that car still looks just as awesome on the back of a truck... funny that! Will you be ready for 29th?!

Kris thanks yeah I have Trackskool on 25th so I really hope so!! That's a week and a half off so I'm thinking I should make it.

I think with the supercharger yeah you will need clutch upgrade eventually, it just accelerates (ahem) the wear. The car had done 98000km with unknown driving style before I got it, and I'm pretty rough with my clutches so I expect it didn't have a lot a life left anyway.

Actually it could have been worse. Yeah it was a long way from home but what if it happened in traffic in Sydney, or while
on the run tomorrow? Not ideal.

At least your safe and well and now you get to check out clutches, or do you already have something in mind? All the best mate with the trip back home!
