Re: My 2005 NB SE

Having owned a 100kw atw V-Tec CRX, a 180 Nissan Sx 190kw atw and my current 98 model NB mx5 I can clearly say that the mx5 is the only car that I have kept for any length of time. Most cars I get bored with after a year or two. The mx5 has been with me now for around 4 years and I would never consider selling it.
A AEM C.A.I on a v-tec engine is one of the most glorious sounds imaginable.
I am sure that as the mods on your car progress you will love it more and more.
The DC2 integra is one of my favorite engines and they have become a lot cheaper.
I think people either like or hate convertibles. I for one love em.
The only thing better than an Mx5, two Mx5's.
Good luck with your car.
Cheers Novice1

Hey
I know the racing harts on my 04 SE are 17x7 with a +40 offset.
I wouldn't think the 05 spec rims would be any different other then the design.

05 Racing Harts are slightly heavier than the 04 versions too (04's are a whopping 8Kg); 17x7 and +40 offset are correct for 05s.

Thanks for the wheels specs guys. Something to think about.

Novice1: seems as if you are quite the Honda fan boi at heart :)
I love Honda's man, and yes the B18C7 motor is by far the best Honda engine made to date - well the most fun anyways. One day I will be doing an EG/EK Civic with a B18C7 in it.
I love convertibles too, so much fun!

Doing my headunit now :)
GOing to be fun.... NOT!

Has anyone else changed their stock CD player from the 6 stacker.

Thinking of going down the road of something like this http://www.soundmaster.com.au/Kenwood-DDX4038BT-61inch-DVD-Bluetooth-Receiver-/DDX4038BT.asp

Ricki, let me know how your install goes?

I figure for $1500 (including GPS kit) i get Ipod control, MP3 cd, DVD, Bluetooth, Reverse camera (may as well add it) and GPS.... all up $1,500

can go a cheaper JVC, but the Kenwood use Garmin Nav and Maps and Parrot Bluetooth

MSM/SE Wiring Diagrams: http://www.miatajim.com/mazdaspeed/mazdaspeed-pdf.rar

It's MUCH easier to buy adapter harnesses to do this, especially if you don't want to solder all those bloody wires. You may need to buy a Mazda->Universal adapter and a Universal->Clarion adaptor if you can't find a direct Mazda->Clarion adapter.

YAY did my drive belts today. Going to book into Mania for a major service.

Spotted a Silver SE at Hornsby Mazda today - anyone's off here?

Have you checked out http://www.mazda-speed.com

This is a site specific to SEs/MSMs (MAZDASPEED Miatas) and it where I got the link from - a few of us here also lurk around on that site since it's a great resource for MSM-specific information.

PS: Can you get Okibi to change your thread title to "VTECMACHINES's 2005 NB SE"? The "My " prefix is a little too "Windows-like" and anonymous (plus it doesn't make any sense since I don't own a 2005 NB SE").
