Old swift??? I had a 94 Swift Gti as my first car. Great fun little cars. I loved the exhaust note mine had and the lumpiness from the cams.
Well, I've had another scuff incident where someone brushed the front bumper and the edge of the driver's fender near the wheel arch while parked at uni. Not too bad, but still annoying. This happened about 2 weeks ago.
On the bright side, I've installed the brass gear bush and am happy with it. Also installed a Polished Voodoo Gearknob. I love how the shifting feels, and the size is just right. I'm thinking of chasing down a brushed version so that it matches my vent rings, but I'm not that fussed.
Also getting some new RE001s on tomorrow.

Saw your car parked outside the Wentworth building at sydney uni on saturday morning, you smartly had a towel over the voodoo, but its looking good
I drive a black NB8B, you'll probably see it around the campus every now and then when I miss the train

Yeah, I had an exam on a Saturday
The towel is a must...the gearknob heats up like crazy. Driving home when I was just going in 5th gear I didn't shift for a while and when I went to shift it was much hotter than before.
There's quite a few Mx5s around Usyd that I spot. A couple of NCs running around as well.

Hey mate, the interior shots look awesome, the voodoos are great aren't they! I got the handbrake on Friday, yet to get around to installing it though.
The car's looking great!

No it was polished. I have a pearl voodoo atm, but I thinking of swapping my brushed gear knob and vent rings with my vision gear knob and some polished vent rings to go with the handbrake handle. Whats the saying... "change is as good as a holiday." If I don't like it I can always change it back.

nah Ben don't do that. What you need to do is swap the brushed voodoo for my polished voodoo and you can do whatever you like with your vent rings

Been a while since I've updated this as I was overseas for a few months and also nothing really happened with the car.
However, now I am back and after originally deciding not to spend money in it, I've now got a bit of an itch to throw my money at it.
Bought myself a Mazdaspeed Rollbar from MXHEVN on the weekend. I've half installed it.. missing a few bolts as I didn't have ones long enough to compensate for the extra length added by the mounting plates on the bar. It seems to line up very well, however at the moment the top bends/corners are fouling a tiny bit on the hardtop. However I believe that this is just because I haven't got the angle right as I had to wrap it up before the sun set.
Provided I can adjust the way the bar is currently sitting, while being a tight fit, it should have no issues with clearance.
I'm still yet to figure out how to get a nut behind some of the holes.. it's quite confusing actually. While most the holes have an internal thread.. there's 1 on the base that doesn't and 2 holes (one on each side out of three) that attach to the seat belt tower that doesn't.
I'll chuck up pictures when I finish the job.
The next plan would be just to get that suspension sorted. What are some ideas guys? I really don't want to fork out the thousands on a new set of coils. I would be willing to go a second hand set of coils, or even just replace the shocks with something suitable for lowered springs + changing over all the suspension bushings.

i miss it
i think these would make a nice upgrade for your shock issue, they dont break the bank either
