I somehow ended up with a 5 speed shifter in a 2001 6speed, which (not surprisingly) had a horrible sloppy shift action.
I bought a MR roadster shifter hoping it would fix it, yet was the same sloppiness, just a shorter throw![]()
A few emails back and forth with Bill from MR and we worked out the cup was different so he sent me a 6 speed cup (all of $14) and it fixed the shift action completely.
