Just a quick post as I'm sitting in the silver dome waiting for drivers briefing to start.
For Targa Tasmania this year I will be competing in a 73 Carrera, and I have an exciting announcement for Classic Adelaide, but for now we are about to undertake the longest and hardest Targa in the history of the event and I am definately looking forward to the challenge.

Didn't put my car on the dyno, maybe later when I decide what power mods to go with. Then I'll get a baseline and work up.

Thought it would be nice to share some great news!
I now have a wonderful full time job with Audi, doing Service Reception and Warranty, great bunch of people and a fantastic place to work.
Also means I spend time on the road with M4K1 each day and that is fun.

Congrats, Alex! Maybe you will be able to be involved in some track days for Audi in future.

Keep an eye out about the reliability of VW Group DSG boxes.
Great mechatronic gearboxes, but expensive to replace out of warranty!
Mine is getting to the end of warranty and this makes me nervous considering how it's been (sometimes) caned over the years.

Car's looking great. Maybe you will be in contact with some people on ozaudi and vwwatercooled forums (great crowds) and the Aussie section of VWvortex.

Looking forward to some more updates when you have time.
