Wooooo! The triple pass works a treat !
65 deg on the highway at 110kph.
Max temp during big 2nd gear doughnuts....10 in a row non stop
At 5500-6000 rpm was 90deg. Usually my 5 would be crying 110deg at lap 8.

Although must admit I did a lot of changes all at once.
Air con out
Triple pass rad
Install rad header tank (pic below)

This bad boy auto bleeds any air bubbles/pockets
That would cause hot spots out of the system continuously while it's running.

This is a resister PAC from a CA18 det Nissan silvia.
I had to install this as the other in-wire resisters I wired in failed due to vibration :(

Thanks guys

I have had a couple of spins due to running out of lock.
Modified front knuckles has changed the sport of drifting.
Where a lesser driver would usually spin out they can simply wind on more lock and fix the mistakes after the apex of the corner what their lack of skill and technique caused before the apex.

To be competitive in drift battles you need to show very aggressive angle pre corner.
Problem-
Due to the double wishbone suspension on the mx5 the inside edge of my 15x8 0- offset front wheels fouls on the lower control arms.
Solution-
Use a narrower wheel with a lower offset. Move the inner edge of the wheel out ! Requires new wheels :)
Image

I bought a pair of second hand Work Equip 03
The size is 14x7.5 offset is -19mm
These give me 13 mm more clearance on the inside edge.

Finally also had my garage vary front bar painted....

It's a copy.... Which I was a bit sad about. It dose fit ..... But I would not buy it for a daily car.
Its easy to tell its a copy. It's heavy, not flexible , poor fit.
Every genuine jap kit I've seen fits as good as factory parts.

But it dose the job I require it for. It helped drop my engine temps.

I needed more lock .... for two reasons.

1. The more angle you slide at then the slower you drift .... everyone had mega lock these days and i've been caught out more than once behind a car that seems to be blazing but is barely moving

2. Its great for fixing the horrible mistakes i am always making.....the car has so much lock now its almost impossible to spin.

here you can see my old modded knuckle and the new even shorter modified one.

more lock means more guards needed

sorry my mistake the top pic is standard knuckle vs new modified style.

Finally fitted the No pro washer bottle that i bought ages ago off a member of this forum.

Image

the original washer bottle actually had semi melted at the side that was closest to the turbo.

I have a new helper !
Image

The original flare was about 25-30mm, with the new metal flares welded on i would say the front guards are 40mm out from standard.

Yep they smell and bite, no different to a puppy, and everybody loves puppies!

Our ferretts nicknamed puppy. His real name is Eric.

mine was primarily used for ripping the heads off rabbit kittens so it didn't make a very good pet unfortunately.

They are hunters naturally and then were domesticated as hunters, thats how it is, keep away from pets smaller than a cat spend lots of time playing with them.

Its like having a Kelpie and not walking and running it, you just cant keep that pet that way.
