How far gone/damaged was your current roof? Did you try to repair it or just go straight for a new one?
I only ask as I'm also having roof dramas just before NatMeet too and have attempted a 'fix' but I'm a bit worried about how long it'll last knowing what the weather can be like in Tassie

It was just generally showing its age.
Not leaking noticeably
But had an unsightly tear 2" long on rear pass quarter and small one starting same spot on driver side.
Penciled in Monday arvo start, with Tuesday spare to do the swap.
Will post a review and couple of pics when done.
Have been reviewing some YouTube vids to prepare.

New Prestige top completed
Pretty good fit, no real dramas, but certainly easier with two people, esp removing/replacing roll bar, seats carpet and roof frame completely from the car.
Need to let it settle in and be up/down a few times to adjust the tension perfectly.

Nice work on the top Stu! Looks a little slack across the back, is that something that will tighten with adjustments?

Today I used my new big heavy duty jack to play with my rear suspension, yet again. I discovered I can reach the rear differential without needing to put the wheels on ramps, that's a win! I'm not too optimistic about reaching the cross member in the front though.

I tightened the top nuts in the trunk in the hope of reducing the clunks. The ride height left to right was out a bit, so I raised the drivers side a little, and shortened the end links to level out the sway bar.

Test drive proved the clunks are in the damper, not from the shock being loose (which I was already fairly certain of), but otherwise all is well.

Damnit! I Thought I was responding in the "What have you done today/recently to your 5" thread! Sorry Stu. I can't edit the original anymore.

It is a bit baggy across that rear bit, not sure if that can be tuned out. Will see how it goes after a few dozen up/downs
General fit was great, no stress trying to get it up to the screen header after loosening the latches.

Great day at Natmeet 2016 Tassie today
Symmons Plains
I'm sure I left a lot on the track, but managed a 1.12.2
Also managed to snap my MRSShiter in half so have dodgyied another knob onto what's left for the next two weeks, very short shifter now!

That would take some very aggressive shifting! And it would have been scary give around the track when it happened - to be suddenly holding an unattached shifter in your hand as you enter a corner

Shifted to 5th and it came off! So only doing about 160 at the time
Prob due to the weight and leverage of the billet extension.
Had to grab the stump and fish for third gear to get back to pits.
Went ok with super short shifter today at Baskerville.
So set benchmark times at Symmons Plains 1.12.2 and Baskerville 1.08 dead

Cudos to guys that.picked up the new tracks quickly and posted very fast times

Awesome historic Baskerville Raceway just outside Hobart
Natmeet 2016
Best time 1.08 dead
Great blind crest corner and terrific corkscrew section
But like Wakefield mated with Lakeside and added a bit of Mt Cotton
