went to the track today at lakeside. my previous best was 1:11 on road tyres so with the new setup i was hoping for 1:08 or something? got down to 1:075 and was stoked and ready to take it easy. but after talking to tim for a while about suspention and some stuff and how it should be run ( about) i was able to get down to 1:05.88 which i am sooo stoked about!!! dropped about a second and a half just from setting up my suspention right. cant thanks tim enough for that. basicly im on a third of the way stiff. 32 clicks and im on 11 front and back.
smoking up the front tyre+guard so i need to really cut alot more guard off under the flair, got heaps of room to so should be easy
went fairly sideways out of the last corner before the straight and me+everyone else thought i was going for the wall, someone how i didnt hit anything which was awsome! i hope i provided some amusement to those who saw it haha. found the limit to how fast i can hook that corner now :p
great day! learnt lots. just need more seat time to get some experience.

Think about replacing your bump stops if there is a lot of rubbing whilst going hard round a corner. Even use some packers to engage the bump stops earlier.

so i got these galvenized steel plate things, about 400-500 long, 60 wide and no clue how thick but they are strong! and are really good size for bracing. just brain storming here, could i weld then up to the factory under bracing to just strengthen it the hell up, so the factory stuff would still bolt in but it would have alot more steel welded to it criss crossing. would look ugly as hell but im not concerned about that. just seeing all these pretty looking braces for hundreds and i have alot of these steel bracing thingos that i could do it for free... please want some feedback and ideas here! thanks

I don't think the stock braces on the SE would flex much, those sheets would probably add more weight than they do good.

If you want to add sheets under the car, find a light weight way to enclose the underside of the car to make it slick (without getting set on fire by the exhaust).
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I've been thinking of getting spacers and over fenders myself, can you tell me if you think it's worth doing.

Has it affected the handeling of your car in a good or bad way. Have you had any problems with them?

Hi! I had a massive increase in handleing but that was because I went from very bald cambered tyres to semis and 17
S to 15s. And I'm not sure about the spacers, for me that was just to make it look right. I thourght its great if ur willing. Flares were 180bucks which is pretty cheap in my opinion. So proformance I'm sure it dries do something but I don't know exactly because I changed a lot at a rme. Ie tyres as well. If u need some hit me up and ill give u the guys number. Hope that helps a little

found a full cage for a good price. and am paying for it when i get paid next ( about 10 days). so excited, i dont see many convertible's rocking full cages, even on the track ^^ letalone the street :D if anyone has any opions on this matter please say so!!

would not approve of a full cage for a street vehicle. each to their own. glad i'm not in the insurance/police force.

Yea has padding, and its a bolt on, also has pivitty bolt things where the bars that go down the side meets the back part, hopefully I can do them up tight enough so they don't move. Mabye even weld that bit when its in place.
