The back is an ongoing problem gussy. I just couldn,t live without an mx5 in the garage. Plus it was a bargain.

Stuffed my back badly last year (after I'd purchased my NA the year before). Took 5/6 months to recover ...

Still have problems getting in/out, but now have added an NB with my NA

The pleasure of an MX is worth the pain ...

The Na is a softer ride than my nb. Just have to drive sensibly and not too ften and back should be ok.

Latest mods. Flat bottomed steering wheel, and mo it doesn,t make steering, ore difficult despite being smaller than the Momo it replaced.

Achlles 15*7 semi slicks, stick lik batshit. Some purchasers have mentioned wheel noise on 17 inch achilles. Didnt notice wheel noise on 15,s.

Skunk 2 replica knob, higher than standard mx5 gear knob, makes gear changing easier and looks good.

Future mods bee hive aerial when it arrives.

Nice buy Ron!

I don't know how you guys put up with driving with semis on the street, just driving to the track on them sends me nuts from the noise! I'm using 205/40R17 R888s.

Maybe size of wheels makes a difference. 15,s are not that bad at all. Also ihave a doofus stereo if needed, plus a rather meaty exhaust note.

Alternatively,I could be deaf.

Those Achilles have the widest grooves I've ever seen so they probably contribute to the quietness.
Strange they are called "semi slicks" as the wideness of the grooves leaves relatively small contact patch, I guess it must be in the compound.
