From what I'm hearing, there's plenty to be had with the right tune, especially with exhaust etc. Oh, and decent spark plugs!

I'm guessing the pre-tune, pre-SC baseline was under 90rkw all things considered.

What I can say, from my greasy ride home in rain and heavy traffic, is that there is no loss in low speed drivability and she purrs beautifully at idle. You can't hear the SC at all, at idle or low revs, as expected of course. If you accelerate a little in first (say to 20kmh) and then let the throttle completely go, you do feel more of a "pull" back, I guess due to increased drag of the SC on the drivetrain?

Also, with the tune, it is far more responsive to the throttle. A slight blip is all it takes to send it up to 4k. And all this time I thought I needed a lightened flywheel! Nup.

It's not like a V8 swap or something, there isn't a massive kick of torque at low revs. The basic character of the engine is exactly the same as before: the real power is up top (see the dyno..), and I have yet to go there... Sorry if all this is obvious to the technical folks, but I'm not an expert, just relaying my experiences :D

Really missed the car actually, I had to actually, you know, "walk" around. But Daniel really made sure it was done right, and wouldn't have been happy rushing the job.

Did you get a tune after that? I had a quick look in your garage but didn't see.

Yeah not a bad idea!! I'm not sure in this weather yet but I'm guessing my sticky 225s are even going to be the bare minimum with this much power. I wanted to go 235 on 8" but I was worried about offsets and rolling guards etc.

how's everyone getting stuff from tirerack, it seems they don't ship to AU, or do you just email for a quote?

Email Rudy at Tire Rack and he'll arrange it. They ship to Australia all the time.
