Hooray... after putting in an order at the end of last year... my Mazdaspeed rims are now on my car!

They are MS01s in 15x6.5 ET35

Image

As you can see my photography technique hasn't really changed since then...
I love 'em
I chose these because I thought the MS01Rs were a little old fashioned for my taste... these are a nicer modern alternative with largely the same design
A little fake dish... and sitting closer to the guards... not as wimpy as it used to be... but still not hardcore

Now... to scrape together the pennies for some Teins...

Thanks rupewrecht!

PUR157, where did you get your front Lip? Im been waiting for Mania to get them but apparently their usual supplier do not have stock and don't know when they'll have them. :frown:

I got that front lip from mania actually... back when the dollar was strong (thank goodness)
But yeah... even at that time it was one of the few left in stock... :|

Love the new rimz - tidy, and not something you see very often. Coilovers definitely the only missing piece in that shot!

Thanks for the compliments, :D

To be honest they haven't taken me as much as I thought they would, that being said I'm still having a hard time finding anything that would take their place anyway
Maybe a lowering would help sort things right out...

Update!
Among all the heavy hitters updating nowadays, I present to you my humble clubbie
A long time coming... I've accumulated a few subtle bits and pieces,

Here's a few pics I've taken because I recently had access to an underground car park... (just HAD to...) I'll explain the revisions below...

So there it is...! probably the most generic photo shoot ever done on a Phone camera... hehe

but all in all, this update includes
Tein Basics, they give about a 1inch drop at their lowest, but vastly improved ride quality... my old billies were shot to pieces...
Rear Lip from the RSpeed hubbub a while back
Roadster scuff plates, coz no Roadster fanatic is complete without it
Buddy Club alloy oil filler cap (bling bling y0~!)
Vitaloni replica side mirrors (love these, only downside is that the passenger side view is now too small... I'm learning to deal with it as I haven't gotten into trouble with them yet. Just for JDM rep I may respray these flat black one day...)

Still to be installed is a rear ducktail spoiler if I can get the bloody thing sanded...
and some whiteline swaybars from the GB a few weeks back (once I can gather the courage to thread the front one through...)

I'm still in love with this car as much as I have been from Day 1 and don't think it'll be waning
And that's it! I'm done modifying the car, now I plan to enjoy it... (until the engine blows up... then... FI here we come... )

Just some credits in no particular order

Muzdaman for splitting the RSpeed order of front and rear lips delivered from the US, and delivering to me!
Wazman for the informative post on his suspension install, your double spanner technique is invaluable... (if you want to be able to install suspension yourself... read his thread... I can only add... don't install suspension yourself... it makes things needlessly difficult  )
Rupewrecht once again, for taking care of me when I went nuts on Yahoo Japan

PS Please excuse me for having the hardtop on... my parents are on holiday so their car is parked in the garage while I park my car outside...

Why the apology for the hardtop? I think it adds to the look quite well.

Thanks! I got them/it fitted at Carline Mufflers in Castle Hill (just in the industrial zone down the road from the toyota dealership, it was on recommendation from the family mechanic

He fitted a new/old (2nd hand) exhaust for me as well as bunging on the extractors for under $300 (that included a little fabrication to get everything to fit)

Thanks! The Basics are as low as they'll go I'm afraid!
I'd love to go for that hardcore look, but at the moment the car still needs to be practical, the front lip already sports a few grazes so any lower and I think it'll be in pieces...

This of course may change if I find some phat and offset rims and even lower suspension............

Gotta keep the "top off unless raining" die hards happy...
It's just a shame coz the weather's getting nicer round our parts (little windy... but that just means a little more dusting inside...!)

Another extended wait between episodes, and not much to tell really...
Full time jobbing now means more dosh, but not much time for the car.

Here is the latest happy snap outside my girlfriends apartment, had one of those, turn around and smile moments.

Image

Aside from that, have a carbing 2pt strut brace on it's way from "don't make me tell you who"... :D

So how does Rupewrecht do business? Could you explain it to me a little, even in a PM?

Always wanted certain things from yahoo.co.jp but never acquired the gall to try and import stuff.

But he seems to have a good reputation so yeah, with a bit of input I'll jump on Astina GT and do some business with him.

Cheers,
Nick.
