I love my wheels. I really do, they look really good in real life, because they have 16 spokes they look quite vintage to match the car, and they are also a very dull silver so aren't crazy shiny. Also because of the low profile tyre, the sidewall doenst flex as much as the normal 50/55/60 mx5 sized profiles, so it has less body roll and handles quite sharply :) I have tried a set of NB8A wheels and noticed a negative difference in terms of handling. So before y'all go flaming someone for having 16" wheels, think of the positives too
Unfortunately they are replicas of these:

:( I don't like fake stuff, but new wheels are not quite a priority right now.

What it does is tie the dash together and makes it look a lot sleeker. Only the top bits need change otherwise you lose the tan effect.

Oh ma gawd are you crazy, I would never ever ever ever change any thing to do with my tan interior. It is so lovely and although not to everyones tastes, it is really special, and when people see it in real life they always comment on how nice it is. And anyway it flows perfectly because the top of the door cards match the tan crash pad.

I'm in full agreement with you Emily, I love the Tan interiors.

I had similar 16" multispoke wheels - TSW if I recall correctly - on a Celica a few years ago & I loved the look. Used to get heaps of comments about how good they were. Only negative I found was cleaning them :|

No offence, but I can't stand the tan interiors. To each their own.

Emily,

I'm in favor of tan interior as well and the crash pad somewhat improves the appeal.

In relation to the chrome roll bar hoops, how do you find the noise level when driving with the soft top down at highway speed?

I only wish I had a tan interior. I've seen high res photos of a white NA some website road tests and it has tan interior incl leather seats and looks awesome.

I love tan interiors! Especially clean ones! Really don't like that 'mouse-trap' of a style bar though. They're more dangerous than anything

Stainless steel :P Basically a bit more buffetty than nothing, i'm sure its the same with real rollbars.

Yeah everyone hates it except me haha, but like the wheels it adds to a vintage/retro themed style.

I've sat in a couple, including Martin's when his still had a full interior (which I hear it doesn't anymore). I'm probably not one to judge though; my interior is pretty weird and is full of things that are cracked or not properly attached.

See Pic
Dash is more integrated, see how it flows with the tombstone. This is a great tan interior. :P

Ok so bit of an update :)

"new wheels are not quite a priority right now."
Yeah rightttt, I am sick of waiting on stuff I want incase I need the money to fix something that breaks, because this car is a bit of a lemon and i have come to terms with the fact that there will always be something wrong with it
So after many many hours of trolling Yahoo Auctions Japan and bothering Jesse Streeter, I have finally purchased my DREAM wheels!
They are made by Work... they are 15"x8"... and have an offset of +23... Thats all i'm saying for now

But oh noes you cant really have that sort of wheel on stock suspension/alignment, ends up looking silly like this haha
Image

So got some suspension too
Bilstein shocks out of a Clubman, with relatively new King Super Low springs, only $150 off the forum!
needed a bit of tlc.
Got the flocked bushes pressed out
Image

Compressed the springs to take them apart
Image

crap that came out vs new bumpstops and dustboots from FatCatMotorsports and new polyurethane bushes from AutolinkUK.
Image

All clean and put back together!
Image

So havnt had a chance to get them in the car yet, im thinking I might wait till I get the wheels, so I can get an alignment once.
Will be rolling the guards asap too, with the help of a friend who owns a guard roller, no baseball bats or rolls of newspaper lol.

Also got a new arm rest, the original one had some funky cracks that thouroughly annoyed me.
Image

Lastly, more trolling on YAJ, scored an ARC rad cooling panel, which I preceded to cover in stickers
Image

I figured they are good for at least 7.3kw

Great update, looks like those shocks will make a nice improvement, keen to see your new wheels.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
