Yup I have the people mover and i'm not competing so no rush except i'd miss driving her.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

That sucks mate. Hopefully it's a pretty easy fix and you can get back to enjoying the car soon.

That’s no fun. That was last year for me. Put a big dent in the enthusiasm, and the wallet.

Fingers crossed goes to paint this week to get the new door and fender matched.

Huge thanks to Neil who gave me an NB door then Richard who gave me an SE door so I could keep it all as original as possible. Bought a brand new fender from Mazda figured I owed the car that after hurting her.

Took the SE on my first club run in over a year, managed to bend 2 wheels.

You're not having much luck with the SE lately, mate! Sometimes they like to fight us to test our love

Yeah my people mover has been costing wayyyyy more :?

I did get a chance to speak to the wonderful Simone at Mania and order myself a new front wheel bearing and Shane at SMC sorted out the alignment so perhaps I won't crash again?

That is a cool number.
At least you weren't doing 80km/hr the last time I saw a photo like that was posted on the forum.

nice capture - I saw mine was coming up to 77,777 and had 20 or 30km to go. I then forgot about it until I looked down and saw it had happened that moment, and then it ticked over to 77,778 before I could pull over.

At the current rate, I should be all ready for it to hit 88,888 in about 2034!

That'd be funny if you slammed on the brakes to capture 77,777 and caused an accident. Imagine explaining that to Mr Plod!

You will note that I stopped. Like you Bruce I saw it coming, and forgot, but remembered with a K or two to go and got the photo as soon as it turned and I could pull over. That was the original (and best) GM, it only lasted another 30k kms or so before being written off at PI.
